I'm Volker Scheel, with nearly 30 years in network engineering and a focus on open networking and SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud). Currently, I'm deeply involved in training the next wave of network professionals at STORDIS as a Senior Network Innovation Delivery Engineer and at Route2Open as a Senior Success Educator.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to train over 500 students, emphasizing the importance and intricacies of open networking and SONiC. My efforts included leading 20 specialized bootcamps, aiming to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed for the future of networking.

With a career spanning almost three decades, my goal remains to mentor and inspire those entering the field, focusing on the transformative potential of open networking technologies.
