Volker Scheel, a network engineering expert with nearly 30 years of experience, specializes in open networking and SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud). Currently working as a Senior Network Innovation Delivery Engineer at STORDIS and a Senior Success Educator at route2open, he is dedicated to training the next generation of network professionals.

In 2023, Volker Scheel trained over 500 students, emphasizing the importance and complexities of open networking and SONiC. His efforts included leading 20 specialized bootcamps designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for the future of networking.

The 4th Day Extension delves into Campus-specific topics such as Power Over Ethernet (PoE), Port Access Control, IP Helper, and more, focusing on the application and management of SONiC in campus network settings.

No, the 4-Day Extended Bootcamp is designed as an addition to the foundational three-day program. Participants must complete the initial three days before extending to the fourth day.

Upon successful completion of the bootcamp, participants will receive their certificate demonstrating their proficiency in managing and troubleshooting SONiC networks.

Participants will need a stable internet connection and a computer capable of handling remote desktop and virtualization software. Specific software requirements and setup instructions will be provided upon enrollment.

You can cancel your enrollment up to 48 hours before the bootcamp start date for a full refund. If you attend the first session and find the bootcamp unsatisfactory, you must email the instructor by the close of business on the same day to request a full refund.
