SONiC FREE Hands-On Labs for Module 3

Module 3 – Lab 1: CLICK configuration

What you will learn: Configuring a static management address for a switch is a common procedure for any network administrator. It is important to carefully assign IP addresses to devices to ensure proper control. This can be done using the CLI CLICK interface, which allows easy management of the switch configuration.

Module 3 – Lab 3: Basic Interface Configuration

What you will learn: You are a network engineer tasked with configuring a new switch. The switch will be connected to a few devices such as servers and workstations. To enable communication between these devices, you need to configure basic interface settings on the switch. This involves configuring IP addresses, setting port speeds, and bringing the port up to ensure it is active. Your goal is to configure the interfaces on the switch so that all devices can communicate with each other seamlessly.

Module 3 – Lab 4: VLAN Configuration

What you will learn: You are a network engineer tasked with configuring VLANs. You have two departments: HR and Sales. Each department is on two floors. You need to separate the two departments from each other so that only your department can communicate with each other – HR can’t communicate with Sales, and Sales can’t communicate with HR. The PCs are already configured, so all you need to do is configure the switches. HR should be in VLAN 10, and SALES should be in VLAN 20.
